About
Twenty years ago, our family The Spencer’s took over Hammertons and pulled together to make it the much loved Ferry service it is today. Hammerton's Ferry is a pedestrian and cycle ferry service across the River Thames in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
The ferry links the river's northern bank near Marble Hill House in Twickenham with its southern bank near Ham House in Ham. It is one of only four remaining ferry routes in London not to be replaced by a bridge or tunnel.
We as a family love and feel privileged to be part of the river community with our ‘Peace of Mind’ ferrying wonderful people across this beautiful stretch of the River Thames 7 days a week from March- October 10-6pm ( daylight pending). We are proud that as a family we are all licensed to drive the ferry.
The local community and collection of small businesses in the area make working here even more enjoyable.
