About

Explore the home of Remembrance in Richmond-upon-Thames.

Discover the story of the people behind the poppies at the charity’s visitor centre, where experts host a private and personalised visit for groups of 25 or more.

Established in the aftermath of the First World War, The Poppy Factory quickly developed into a community of wounded and injured veterans and their families. Groups can see first-hand how veterans still make Royal and regimental wreaths by hand and have a go at making their own poppy.

Visitors can book ahead to enjoy a delicious Factory Tea Break served by the factory’s veteran baristas, with fresh cakes made by in-house bakers 7Marvels. Younger visitors can enjoy a fun and educational exhibition treasure hunt.

Today, The Poppy Factory is a national charity that supports veterans with health conditions on their journey into all kinds of employment, helping hundreds of ex-Forces job seekers in England and Wales each year. By booking a visit, groups will support more veterans to rebuild their lives.

Group Visits:

The expert hosts at the visitor centre create a fascinating experience for visitors. From community outings and school trips to team-building and development sessions for military groups, The Poppy Factory is here for you to discover and explore.

Small groups can book visits on The Poppy Factory Discovery Days.

Larger groups can choose from either 'Entry only' tickets priced at £14 (including VAT) or 'Entry plus tea break' £20 (including VAT).

Please note, refreshments are only offered to groups that pre-book a Tea Break.
