Driving to Richmond upon Thames from the Midlands

There are two routes you can take, if you are coming from West Midlands, via M40 and M6/M1. We suggest you take the M40 route.

» Get on A38/A38(M) from Aston Express Way

» Take M42, M40 and M4 to Great West Rd/A4 in Brentford. Take the exit for A4 from M4 (121 miles – Approx. 1 hour 57 minutes)

» Continue on Great West Rd. Take A205 and Kew Rd to Duke St to reach Richmond upon Thames (3.2 miles – Approx. 13 minutes)

If you are coming from East Midlands, there are three directions you can take, via only M1, M1/M40 and only M40. We suggest you take the M1.

» Get on M1 from A5460

» Follow M1 to London (89.6 miles – 1 hour 48 minutes)

» Take A406 and Kew Rd to Duke St and you’ll reach Richmond upon Thames (9.9 miles – Approx. 30 minutes)

Driving to Richmond upon Thames from Cambridge and East of England

There are three routes you can take if you are travelling from Cambridge and the East of England, via A1(M), M25 and M11. We suggest you take the M25.

» Get on A1(M).

» Follow A1(M) to N Orbital Rd/A414 in Hatfield. Take exit 3 from A1(M) (15.4 miles – Approx. 15 minutes).

» Get on M25 from N Orbital Rd/A405 (7.5 miles – Approx. 12 minutes).

» Follow M25 and M4 to Great West Rd/A4 in Brentford. Take the A4 exit from M4 (28.1 miles – Approx. 31 minutes).

» Continue on Great West Rd. Take A205 and Kew Rd to Duke St and you will arrive at Richmond upon Thames (3.2 miles – 13 minutes).

Driving to Richmond upon Thames from Brighton (South East of England)

You can reach Richmond upon Thames from Brighton and the South East via A23/M25 and A23. We recommend you take the route via A23/M25.

» Get on the A23 to M23 in West Sussex

» Continue on M23. Take M25 to A316 in Sunbury-on-Thames (44 miles – Approx. 42 minutes)

» Follow A316 to Duke St in Richmond (6.5 miles – Approx. 15 minutes).

Driving to Richmond upon Thames from Bristol (South West of England)

Richmond upon Thames is easily accessible from Bristol and the South West via the M4/M3.
