» If you choose to travel with the underground to Richmond upon Thames, take the Piccadilly line (Blue) from Heathrow (Terminal 2,3,4,5) to Hammersmith, then change onto the District Line (Green) heading directly towards Kew Gardens and Richmond Station.
» Journey time: 50-60 minutes (depending on peak and off-peak times)
» If you decide to travel with public transport, buses run from all terminals at Heathrow Airport. If you are at Terminal 1,2,3, take bus SL7 from Heathrow Central Bus Station to Hatton Cross Station – Stop C and take bus 490, which will take you directly to Richmond Station. At Terminal 4,5, take bus 490, which takes you directly to Richmond Station. There is also a free bus, H30, running from Hatton Cross to Terminals 2/3.

» The journey from London Heathrow Airport to Richmond upon Thames is very easy to navigate. There are a couple of ways, through the A312 and Chertsey Road/A316, through Great West Rd/A4 and M4.

» If you decide to travel by bus to our borough, walk to Gatwick Airport, A23 South Terminal, to take bus 420 to Sutton Head Post Office, which will take you directly to Richmond upon Thames.

» To get to Richmond upon Thames from Luton Airport, catch the Shuttle Bus from Luton Airport Parkway to the Railway Station, then grab the East Midlands Railway to London St Pancras International. From there, change on the underground to take the Victoria line (Blue) to Vauxhall; when you reach Vauxhall, walk to Vauxhall Rail Station and catch the South Western Railway to Richmond.
