Petersham Exterior

About

The Petersham is a stunning privately owned 4-star hotel, proudly overlooking the River Thames and surrounding Petersham Meadows. Built in 1865, the hotel is rich in history, yet progressive in approach, offering first-class hospitality.

With 61 elegant bedrooms, an award-winning restaurant, and flexible meeting and event spaces, there is plenty on offer. For weddings, The Petersham is without doubt one of the finest venues in South West London, providing a magical setting for the most special of days.

Perched on the side of Richmond Hill, The Petersham proudly overlooks the famous bend in the River Thames and the stunning Surrey countryside.

The streets of Richmond feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of Central London, quaint boutiques and pretty greens make Richmond a very desirable place to be. The Petersham itself is often frequented by some of the world’s most famous, and with its glorious views, grand Victorian architecture and elegant interiors, it is easy to see why!

Despite our rural location, we are well connected too, just eight miles from Central London and a short riverside stroll from Richmond rail and tube station. By road, The Petersham is a short 10-minute drive from the M3 and M4 motorways and if you are travelling from overseas, Heathrow Airport is eight miles away.
