Standard Deviation & Harry Baker Trio, Late Night Jazz

About

Indulge in an enchanting night of late-evening jazz, where the intimate ambience of the dimly lit St. Mary’s sets the stage for a mesmerising experience. Standard Deviation, a dynamic six-part vocal ensemble that brings the spirit of legendary groups like New York Voices, The Real Group, and Take 6 to life.

Standard Deviation are a jazz vocal ensemble inspired by the vocal traditions of New York Voices, The Real Group and Take 6. The group was established in 2021 and have been singing in six-part harmony ever since. Based in London, they perform all over the UK at jazz venues and festivals. A particular highlight has been a sold-out debut at Jazz @ Pizza Express, Soho in 2023. The ensemble regularly collaborates with other groups and artists.

They recently collaborated with the Harry Baker Trio at Notting Hill Arts Club, and shared a stage with the Sam Every Big Band for a Christmas extravaganza at EartH, Hackney. In early 2025, Standard Deviation released their debut album, recorded at Soho Sonic Studios.
