Richmond May Fair

About

The Richmond May Fair is over fifty years old and is the town's biggest community event. Welcoming thousands of visitors and giving local charities the opportunity to publicise their work and raise much needed funding.

The 2024 Richmond May Fair will be held on Saturday 11th May and will be officially opened by the Mayor of Richmond upon Thames at 11.00am. We want to make it a great day for the whole community, an opportunity for local charities to publicise their work and raise much needed funds. In addition, many local small businesses attend the Fair to advertise and sell their products and crafts.  All the favourites from past years will be there; the Victorian Fun Fair, delicious food, plenty of cakes, yummy treats and of course the popular Dog Show.  Local bands, schools and various performance groups will stage a great line up of entertainment throughout the day.

Other entertainment over the fair weekend & beyond:

The Richmond May Fair Ball runs on the Friday evening prior to the Fair. It is a fantastic evening of entertainment and everyone is welcome to join the party!

There is plenty to explore in historic Richmond and we hope that while you visit the Fair, you will also enjoy browsing the surrounding lanes and High Street to explore the diverse range of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs on offer.

If you've enjoyed the Richmond May Fair we would warmly invite you to return on Sunday 19th May 2024 to visit some of Richmond's most beautiful gardens as part of the Richmond Hill Open Gardens show. All funds raised go to local charities. For more details see www.richmondhillopengardens.org
