Be part of London’s most exclusive event! The Richmond Half Marathon is part of a weekend which also includes the Richmond RUNFEST Marathon, and the Kew Gardens 10k. The Half and Full Marathon start within the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and will finish in a music festival in Old Deer Park in Richmond.

Tour the gardens before passing historical assets including Ham House, Richmond Palace, Teddington Lock, and the meandering River Thames, finishing at a fantastic finish festival and fitness expo with live music in Old Deer Park. This event has a Full Licence by Run Britain (Licence ID: 2024-47798).

Spectator Admission

On race morning each runner can bring in 4 spectators into Elizabeth Gate, Kew Gardens  (TW9 3AB) for FREE, however this must be from 7am until 9am when the gates close. After 9am there will be NO ADMISSION INTO KEW GARDENS until the Gardens open officially to paying customers at the usual time.

We advise that spectators arrive at Kew Gardens with the runner and once they have cheered you on at the start, they can either make their way to Richmond Riverside to cheer you on or the finish-line festival in Old Deer Park (TW9 2SF).

Please note Dogs are NOT ALLOWED inside Kew Gardens but they are welcome at the finish line in Old Deer Park.

Race Packs will be sent out in the post so you can expect to receive your number the week before, or the week of the race.

Terrain:

Multi-terrain: Flat and fast! All on road and path inside Kew Gardens before running along the Thames Towpath. Please expect to run on flat path, road, gravel and grass during the 13.1 miles. The course is flat as a pancake.

First Aid:

Full professional cover in place throughout the course.

Marshals:

The entire course will be fully marshalled. Marshalls are volunteers so please say thanks to these amazing people!

Sweep Marshals:

A sweep Marshal will be present to assist athletes who do not complete the course and will be transported to the finish line.

Water Station Locations:

We have water stations at 3 miles (water), 7.5 miles (water & electrolyte drink), 9.7 miles (Water), 11.6 miles (water) and at the finish line.
