Quip Shed Comedy @Ham Polo Club

About

Quip Shed Comedy is back at Ham Polo Club in March, bringing the best comedic line-ups the UK has to offer!

For this show, we have an incredible line-up featuring Bobby Mair, Dane Buckley, Ginnia Cheng, host Lyle Barke, headliner Hal Cruttenden!

Bobby Mair is a Canadian stand-up comedian based in London. He starred in his own sitcom with his wife on Vice and Comedy Central called Bobby and Harriet: Get Married, he has appeared multiple times on Comedy Central's Roast Battle including appearing in a battle with his wife that got millions of hits online. His other credits include 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), and Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2). He's opened for Doug Stanhope, Bill Burr and Bill Maher, appeared three times at Just For Laughs in Montreal and once appeared on Katie Hopkins TV show just to give the fee from the show to everyone she hates.

Dane Buckley is the world's only Irish, Indian, gay comedian… probably. An award-winning comedian and writer, he delivers his comedy effortlessly with cheeky charm and camp mischief.

Dane burst onto the comedy circuit in 2022, making a name for himself by winning Gong Shows (Beat the Frog World Series, The Comedy Store's King Gong, Top Secret's Gong, to name a few) and has been a finalist in LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year (2022) and 2Northdown's New Act competition (2022).

Whether it's stories of his early years – Irish mammies, Indian grannies, and rebel priests – or his career in social care – chasing pensioners through Paris or delivering a baby impromptu – audiences across the UK are enjoying Dane's hilarious and heart-warming tales.

Dane has supported Tom Allen, Rosie Jones, and My Therapist Ghosted Me on tour. He recently filmed for Comedy Central Live, and is a regular on the club and festival circuit. Dane was also featured as one of Skiddle.com's best up-and-coming stand-up comedians in 2023.

Ginnia Cheng is a London-based East Asian comedienne who's reached the semi-finals of many of the UK's comedy competitions including SYTYF and Up the Creek's One to Watch. She co-hosts London's sex-positive live comedy experience Sex Standing Up, which has been recommended by the Metro and Londonist and is regularly listed as TimeOut's top 3 things to do in London. Ginnia was recently handpicked by BBC Writersroom for a programme showcasing the UK's East Asian comedy talent.

Hal Cruttenden is one of the top touring stand up comedians working in the UK and Ireland today, as well as being a highly accomplished writer, presenter and actor.
