Join us at Books on the Rise for our first open mic poetry night of 2025!

Our Poetry on the Rise readings series is on a determined mission to bring the best contemporary poetry to Richmond and we would love for you to be a part of it! Join us for an evening of open mic poetry, whether you want to read your own work or just sit back and enjoy the readings, Books on the Rise is a perfect community for any poetry lovers.

If you would like to perform at our open mic, please do book a 'Performer' ticket and fill out your name. If you are booking for other people, could you please do this seperatley or pop us an email (events@booksontherise.com) to let me know the names of the performers.

All readers will be given a slot of 5 minutes and the order of reading is done in alphabetical order by surname. The evening must end by 9PM so performer tickets sell out when time limit is reached.
