Plant Sale for Wildlife

About

It's almost time for Habitats & Heritage's most colourful, cheerful and aromatic fundraiser of the year – our Plant Sale for Wildlife!

Sunday 11th May, 10am – 2pm
Kilmorey Mausoleum, St Margarets Road, Twickenham TW1 1PN (opposite Ailsa Tavern)

Join us for a fantastic selection of pollinator-friendly plants including annuals, perennials, herbs, grasses, shrubs, house plants and many more. Whether you have a huge garden or tiny outside space, there will be plenty of bargain plants to get your backyard buzzing.

For those keen on local history, the mausoleum with its secret tunnel and a story of passion and betrayal, reveals a fascinating insight to Lord Kilmorey and his mistress, Priscilla. Hear the full story from our expert volunteer guides.

Children will have lots of fun too with a nature scavenger hunt and the opportunity to see and learn more about local bees with the Twickenham & Thames Valley Bee-keepers' Association.

A £3 entry fee (kids and Habitats & Heritage Supporters GO FREE) includes refreshment, a tour of the mausoleum and the wildlife garden. The first 50 visitors will get a free pack of "wildlife-friendly seeds" so make sure you get there nice and early. Home-made cakes will be available, as well as lots of great raffle prizes.

There is unrestricted parking in the area all day and all proceeds will support the work of Habitats & Heritage to improve, preserve and protect our local neighbourhood.

!
Please help us make our plant sale event more successful this year. Habitats & Heritage is really grateful for (home grown or bought) so whether you are an experienced gardener or still developing your green fingers, please get in touch or bring your plants with you on the day. Thank you!
