Dreamscapes, an incredible band led and anchored by guitarist Julien Durand, takes you on a journey through engaging, energetic improvised compositions and delicate ethereal layers. Dreamscapes is a quintet made up of some of the most exciting emerging talent from the UK that includes beautiful vocals by Lucy-Anne Daniel, driving solos from saxophonist George Garford and drummer Jono Gaze. At the core of DREAMSCAPES’ ethos are two musical elements - melody and improvisation. The band’s name itself derives from an interest in creating sonic landscapes through extended instrumental techniques and electronics, all the while always having the melody at the forefront.

DREAMSCAPES draws from an eclectic blend of influences ranging from the rocky tones of Led Zeppelin to the minimalism of the ECM label. By exploring melody and improvisation in all their shapes and forms, this ensemble transcends notions of genres - these fuse into a performance where the audience is invited to be a part of the explorative process.

After much anticipation, DREAMSCAPES is finally releasing its first EP and will be going on tour around the UK in September 2024. Other performances include a headline show at Cheltenham Jazz Festival in May 2024.
