About

Come and attend this free online lecture about French pastries

From the mouflets of the Middle Ages to the mille-feuilles of the 17th century, including darioles, financiers, chocolate éclairs, tarte Tatin, meringue, Charlotte, and the elegance of the wedding cakes that we owe to Antoine Carême (known as "the chef of kings" and "the king of chefs"), pastry chefs continue to innovate to satisfy our sweet tooth.

The lecture will be presented on Zoom, in French and illustrated with a Powerpoint presentation.

If you would like to attend please register on our website. An email with Zoom link will be sent to you the day before the lecture.

~~~~~~~
This lecture is part of a series of events to reaffirm the twinning between the cities of Richmond, Konstanz and Fontainebleau, which will culminate in a weekend of celebration on 6th-8th June 2025.
