Rated within the top 50 of the 'World's Most Admired Wine Brand 2023' by Drinks International, La Rioja Alta S.A. is one of the most prestigious wineries in Spain and produces critically acclaimed Tempranillos. This is one of the best addresses in Rioja and one of the rare wineries to release their wines late, so they can be enjoyed right away.
The winery was founded in 1890 by Five Riojan and Basque families and, within a few years, it was merged with the Ardanza Winery. They created the Reserva 1904, which eventually became the iconic Gran Reserva 904, to commemorate the event. They are also known for their Gran Reserva 890, their first wine ever made, and benchmark, Viña Ardanza Reserva which is extremely good value.
