About

This charitable event will host all manner of summer festivities - with an artisan market of modern and traditional Ukrainian hand-made goodies, masterclasses where you can part-take in Ukrainian wreath-making traditions of this day, activities for children, as well as, food and drink stalls. All funds collected with be in support of Ukraine, with all proceeds from the event to be donated to Ukrainian Social Club. All this will be accompanied by live music, uniting both modern and traditional Ukrainian performances - the ultimate celebration of Summer!

The traditions of this day in Ukrainian folklore centre around celebrating the longest day of the year through dancing and music. Traditionally, the whole village would gather to unite, give back to nature and celebrate the harvest. Also, some folk tales suggest a certain mystery and magic surrounding this day. Many traditions dating back centuries connect Ivana Kupala with pagan traditions, as well as Cupid, the Roman god of love. It is thought that on this day many find true love!

Tickets are £5 and include a complimentary cocktail and raffle ticket!
Entry for children (aged 12 years and under) is free.

Celebrate the Ukrainian traditions of Ivana Kupala and mark the longest day of summer at the Summer Solstice Festival #KUPALAPARTY!
