About

Come and join us for an Italian themed al-fresco wine-tasting as we wander through the private gardens of the Holly Lodge Centre in Richmond Park.

Italy is a huge source of excellent indigenous grape varieties producing exciting and delicious wines. Throughout the evening you will learn about and taste some of these whilst wandering through the secluded gardens of the Holly Lodge Centre- which are not usually open to the public.

Your expert guide will be Gordon Stutely, co-founder of GS Wines, a small importer of high-quality artisan wines from private vineyards across Italy. Gordon will pass on his passion for discovering new wines with his informative and entertaining chat, outlining each of the bottles being sampled. He will also provide a small booklet detailing each wine as well as general background information.

To top it all, there will be an array of Italian charcuterie and cheeses and musical accompaniment from an accomplished Ukranian flautist, Sofiia Matviienko on offer.

All event proceeds will go to the upkeep of the Holly Lodge Centre which helps over 8000 children and adults per year learn about nature, science and history in the context of Richmond Park. The Centre, which specialises in those with special needs, receives no Government funding so money raised from this sort of event helps to keep it up and running.
