About

Join us for a walk to the community orchard to learn more about the history of the site, and how to care for your fruit trees.

In the week leading up to our Wassail on the 3th of February, we've got two Wassail themed growing events.

Monday 29th Jan, 10 - 12: Community Orchard walk and talk

Join us for a walk to the community orchard to learn more about the history of the site, and the value of community orchards in an urban setting. We will also discuss how to care for common fruit trees, including how to plant fruit trees, how and when to prune and how to identify and tackle common pests and diseases. We will meet at Vine Road pavillion at 10am and walk to the orchard, so please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather. After the talk, we will walk back to the Growing Area at Vine Road, where tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.

We also have another Wassail themed event on Wednesday 31st January: 10 - 11.30: Growing Traditions Around the World.
