About

7th December – 10am to 4:30pm
at Turner's House
Tickets £55, include all the materials, coffee/tea, biscuits, and mince pies.

Exchanging Christmas cards during the holiday season is a wonderful tradition that has its roots in the Victorian times. The gesture becomes even more special when the sender designs their own cards.

In the beautiful setting of JMW Turner country retreat in Twickenham, join our Learning Officer, Rita Piglionica, in a one-day Christmas card printmaking course. Learn how to create your personal Christmas cards using linocut and decorate your paper with colourful and playful patterns inspired by wallpaper designs. Enjoy a brief talk about Georgian Christmas with our Museum Director, Matthew Morgan, while painting, drinking coffee/tea, and eating mince pies.

During the session, you will learn the bases of linocut, from the planning stage to the final print, and will create your personalised Christmas cards to send to family and friends.

All the materials are included in the ticket price, as well as coffee/tea, biscuits and mince pies.

All levels are welcome! Places are limited, therefore booking is essential.
