Caladium goldwork embroidery

About

Inspired by the magnificent Caladium from the Princess of Wales Conservatory collection, this course dives into the centuries-old tradition of using metal threads to create dazzling designs fit for royal coronations and grand pageantry events.

Led by expert tutors from Hand & Lock Britain’s oldest embellishment atelier established in 1767, you'll learn core aspects of Goldwork. From transferring intricate designs onto fabric to mastering bullion line work and edging with 2% gold materials, you’ll craft a masterpiece steeped in over 250 years of unrivalled craftsmanship.

You will learn how to create relief from the fabric with a variety of padding techniques across the piece. You will then add your own sparkle to the piece using metal threads and bullions under the expert guidance of Hand & Lock’s embroidery tutors.

Spaces are limited, so seize this opportunity to immerse yourself in the artistry of Goldwork Embroidery. Reserve your place today and transform inspiration into timeless elegance.
