Annie and Miranda

About

Tonight's double bill showcases two unique emerging artists from the London music scene.
Annie Majin is a rising powerhouse of a voice! Although still studying at Central School of Speech and Drama, she has been wowing audiences at venues such as Crazy Coqs, Greennote, St Marys Jazz and was a guest singer with Ragamuffins Band at The Jazz Sanctuary in last years London Jazz Festival!
Annie likes to tell stories through her songs. With uniquely tender vocals, she will be exploring the work of Jazz and Broadway composers from the 20th century, with an exciting selection of hidden gems from the Great American Songbook and beyond. Expect a vintage sound with quality musicianship.

Miranda Radford Quartet

Miranda is an 18-year-old drummer up and coming on the London Jazz scene. Her introduction into the scene stemmed from help and support from teaching organisations Tomorrows Warriors and Julian Joseph Jazz Academy. Having also studied with teachers such as Will Cleasby, Romarna Campbell, and Sultan Stevenson, she has been shown the wonders and versatility of drums within the Jazz Genre! Her influences and inspirations include the work of jazz legends Tony Williams, Max Roach, Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane, and Cedar Walton.

Miranda has performed at Love Supreme, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Dizzy's Jazz Club, and more. Tonight her quartet will be exploring the works of Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, and Herbie Hancock
