Meet Gloria

Gloria has been a volunteer for roughly 14 years, she started volunteering as she thought living here there's so much to see and do why not share this knowledge with others and volunteer.

“We have lots of visitors, lots especially in the summer, lots of tourists asking for the river and the green, Kew Gardens, Hampton Court Palace and it’s all just so lovely.”

She expresses; though there are a lot of wonderful things to see, Richmond Theatre is her favourite. Not only is it a beautiful building they also have amazing shows on. Gloria reminisces on taking her grandchildren to Richmond Theatre to watch the annual panto they put on. Richmond theatre is amazing as behind the scenes tours are run monthly and this year it celebrates its 125th birthday. Gloria states that it is in a remarkable position overlooking the green with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. So many of the attractions are accessible by bus like Kew Gardens and Hampton Court Palace.

Glorias closing statement was that she cant recommend the borough enough and we are so fortunate here!
