Strawberry Hill House & Garden

Explore Strawberry Hill House and Garden, one of Britain's finest examples of Georgian Gothic Revival architecture and interior decoration. It was transformed into "a little gothic castle" by Horace Walpole in the 18th century. Since then, it has been open to visitors for over 250 years and home to an increasingly important collection of paintings and objects.
The billboard shows Walpole's lavish gallery with its stunning gold detailing and crimson walls, the architectural use of paper mâché was used to construct the gallery. During the restorations, over 2000 books of gold leaf were used on the gilding work in the Gallery alone!
Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew/ Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens is one of the most visited attractions in Richmond upon Thames, here you are able to explore over 50,000 living plants across the amazing UNESCO World Heritage site and discover the world of science behind their botanical collections.
The billboard shows the iconic Palm House - here you are able to explore a remarkable indoor rainforest and discover tropical plants from some of the most threatened environments in the world. Many of the plants in this collection are endangered in the wild and some extinct.
Kew Gardens annually host a week-long festival of picnic concerts, Kew The Music. Festival goers can listen to award winning artists whilst taking in the sights of the stunning UNESCO World Heritage site.
Kew Gardens also regularly host accessible and inclusive events, during their larger exhibitions and event they'll often host quiet sessions for those with special educational need or are neurodiverse.
Richmond's Riverside is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the great outdoors. There are also many activities you can take part in along Richmond Riverside such as paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing! Alternatively, you can choose to cruise the royal highway on a boat trip, travelling from Richmond to Kew, Hampton Court Palace or Twickenham.

Along the riverside you can also find phenomenal and award winning restaurants, bars and pubs; all varying in cuisine and budget so there's something for everyone. There is also the infamous Duck Pond Market that runs every weekend in Heron Square. Close to the riverside is also famous resident Virginia Woolfs statue and the Museum of Richmond.

The London Wetland Centre is a 105 acre wildlife haven with scenic walkways set amongst the lakes, pools and meadows that are home to birds, bats, water voles, grass snakes, amphibians, dragonflies and moths.
One of the highlights of a trip to the London Wetlands Centre is meeting Tod and Honey, a pair of Asian small-clawed otters, catch them get their daily feeding at 11am and 2pm

Marble Hill House is the last complete survivor of the elegant villas and gardens that once bordered this part of the Thames. It was built in the 1720s for Henrietta Howard, mistress of King George II. It takes inspiration from 16th century Italian architect Palladio and is a fine example of Palladian architecture.
Marble Hill House is completely free to visit (see website for opening times) and often host literary events throughout the year celebrating some of Britain's most famous writers. There are also free weekly community walks, tours of the house and garden as well as fantastic events for kids during the half-term and summer holidays.

Orleans House Gallery is a contemporary art gallery set in beautiful gardens overlooking the River Thames in Twickenham. With a year-round programme of exhibitions, live events and educational experiences, a wild wood to explore, a shop and the Stables Café where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and delicious light refreshments.
