About
Hello Twickenham!
Why buy when you can borrow?
Can you believe a drill is only used for 3 minutes a year? Instead of cluttering your cupboards with stuff you don’t use often - share useful household items with neighbours instead!
From carpet cleaners, to drills, or projectors - Twickenham Library of Things is a place where you can borrow useful household items you don’t need to use often. You can find us inside Patch Twickenham.
Borrowing is the new buying
Sharing the things we only use now and again cuts down on clutter, is more affordable, brings people together, and is kinder to our planet. That’s why we’re getting the nation borrowing.
As well as helping Richmond upon Thames residents save money from not buying new things, residents in need of a helping hand will have the option to sign up with the concession membership, which gets them 25% off rentals.
About Library of Things
Library of Things is on a mission to make rental easy, affordable and convenient – for individuals, communities and the planet. This women-led circular economy start-up provides communities with affordable access to useful items like drills, carpet cleaners, sound systems and sewing machines from local hubs like libraries.
Through its partnerships with product manufacturers Bosch, Kärcher and STIHL, councils and community groups, Library of Things is creating an alternative ‘circular economy’ – helping to transform neighbourhoods into low-waste, community-powered hubs.
