About

Teddington Lawn Tennis Club was founded in 1908 by the Teddington Baptist Church Sunday School & was known then as the Queens Road Tennis Club. In those early days the club only met during the summer months, there were around 26 members, playing on three grass courts.

Since moving to our present site on Vicarage Rd in 1914, we have been known as Teddington Lawn Tennis Club.

Although our club has experienced some turbulent times, surviving two world wars & considerable financial problems in the early days, today, we are a popular and thriving tennis club with a buoyant membership and financial stability.

Safeguarding and welfare are priorities and the Managing Committee, club volunteers and our members all strive to live up to the club’s ethos & values of participation, fairness, respect, sportsmanship and fun.

Please take a look at the tabs at the top of this page that tell you more about how our club is organised and governed.
