The Barmy Arms Pub

About

The Barmy Arms, built in the 1700s, is the closest boozer to Eel Pie Island, an infamous hippy rock & roll commune, it was often the last stop before heading over to see the likes of the Rolling Stones & Rod Stewart.

Known for being loud, lively and musical, the Barmy Arms is a pub with plenty of character. Our roots are in all things alternative and fun, thanks to being the closest boozer to small enclave Eel Pie Island: an infamous hippy rock & roll commune. You’ll often find present day rugby fans singing heartily during the summertime after a visit to nearby Twickenham Stadium.

Stop into our picturesque pub near the River Thames for a riverside drink, quiz night, or live music performance to enliven your London visit. Be sure to book in advance during busy summer hours!

WE WELCOME DOGS WITH OPEN ARMS

If you’re travelling with your pup our waterside pub is an excellent place to spend a few hours. We have a generous beer garden that’s great for restless dogs, and some cosy fireside seats for you to relax in if they need to dry off from wet weather in the winter.

GREAT PUB FOOD AT FANTASTIC PRICES

If you’re looking for a casual date night with traditional national dishes in a quaint English pub, be sure to book with us. Our pub offers an intimate setting with romantic riverside views at night, bright indoor decor and friendly staff to help facilitate your perfect evening. On the regular and Sunday menu you’ll find all the usual suspects of hearty British pub food alongside sharing platters, non-gluten options and vegan choices for every dietary requirement.
