Until the end of the 19th century Whitton was a small village on the edge of Hounslow Heath. In the 1930's it developed rapidly as scores of houses covered its gardens and apple orchards. See remnants of the old village, the last of its big houses and hear tales of Whitton's past.
No need to book. Just turn up, buy a ticket from the guide - cash only please - and off we go. The walk lasts around two hours.
