Hampton Pool Concert with The Shires and Kezia Gill on Saturday 19 July

About

Join us at Hampton Pool for a feast of country music, courtesy of The Shires and Kezia Gill.

The Shires are the UK's most successful country music export, with multiple top 10 albums and hundreds of thousands of tickets sold around the world. They first broke through in 2014 with their single 'Nashville Grey Skies', a playful song about Britain needing its own country scene. And that's something which they helped happen, starting with their 2015 debut 'Brave', which became the first ever Top 10 album by a UK country music artist, followed by a succession of hit albums. Their authenticity saw them embraced by the Nashville scene immediately, leading to two CMA Awards.

From a large musical family of Irish descent, singer-songwriter Kezia Gill's early years were surrounded by music. Pulling influences from a wide range of genres including folk, Irish, country, rock and blues, her sound is unique and her individual style is evident both in her original material and her wide repertoire of classic covers. With an impressive vocal range, energy on stage and multi-instrumental talent, Kezia makes every song her own. In the words of 'Entertainment Focus', her recent set at Europe's biggest country music festival, C2C 2025 at the O2, was "one for the history books – a real 'were you there?' moment".
