Teddington Jazz Festival

About

Teddington's first major Jazz & Blues festival is taking place at The Lensbury Club, the perfect summer setting with a large outside stage on the beautiful lawns alongside the River Thames.

Put a note in your diary for Sunday June 22nd from 1:30pm to 8pm.

Already booked to appear are the fabulous singer, songwriter and pianist Liane Carroll, with her trio including husband and bassist Roger Carey. Liane is a multi-award-winning artist, collecting two BBC Jazz Awards for Best Vocalist and Best of Jazz. Even more importantly, she never fails to deliver a vastly entertaining show, combining virtuostic piano playing, a voice that could move a mountain to tears and a brilliant sense of humour.

Accomplished bassist, arranger and composer Dave Jones will bring his star-studded Funk Affinity band to our festival at The Lensbury. The show explores Dave's arrangements of classic jazz funk, Latin and soul. Look forward to spacious grooves and improvisation of the highest level with tunes from George Duke, Patrice Rushen, Angela Bofill, Herbie Hancock and Steve Wonder.

Guitar lovers are truly in for a treat, because also on the festival bill is Chris Corcoran with his band. Chris is undoubtedly one of the country's finest blues guitarists. As well as playing a set on the main stage, Chris has also offered to give a Blues Guitar Workshop to raise money for the Festival's nominated charity.

We'll be announcing more artists just as soon as we have them confirmed.
