The Innocent

About

Richmond Film Society's 61st Season commences on 17 September with 'The Innocent'.

The tale of a lonely young widower, a marine biologist Abel, played by Louis Garrel, who also directs the film and whose acting career began at six. Our lonely widower is somewhat disturbed to say the least when his mother Sylvie (Anouk Grinberg, forty films to her credit),decides to marry, yet again... this time to a convict she has met whilst teaching drama in prison. Abel suspects that her new husband is not quite as committed to the straight and narrow as he claims.

There is, however, help at hand , in the shape of his wife's best friend Clémence. She is played by Noémie Merlant, whom you may remember from Season 58 and her stunning performance in 'Portrait of a Lady on Fire'.

Nominated for numerous cinematographic awards and winner of two Césars for Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress, The Innocent is  a film to be enjoyed !

Non-member tickets are £5 (full-time students £3) and can be purchased in advance from The Exchange's Box Office online at http://exchangetwickenham.co.uk/events, by telephone 020 8240 2399 or in person.
