Mosaic crochet and hook

About

Mosaic crochet is the latest exciting colour work technique in crochet and this class, with experienced teacher Suzanne Strachan, is the perfect introduction and a great way to expand your repertoire of skills.

It's a relatively simple technique to master, yet it allows you to create impressive modern geometric two colour patterns, whilst working just one colour at any one time.

During the workshop, Suzanne will cover both inset and overlay mosaic techniques as well as teaching you how to read mosaic charts.

You'll then work on a couple of sample exercises, with plenty of opportunities for one-to-one guidance and help.

Attendees should be comfortable holding the hook and yarn and know the basic crochet stitches (chain, double crochet and treble) and how to read a basic crochet pattern.

Please bring a smooth double knit or worsted weight yarn in two contrasting shades, together with a suitable crochet hook (4mm for DK or 4.5mm for worsted weight).

Coffee and tea will be served to help the learning process!

The workshop will by led by Suzanne Strachan, knitting and crochet expert and talented knitwear designer.

"fantastic course, very well taught – will certainly be signing up for other courses"

"Really enjoyable – thank you"

"friendly and fun, as well as instructive"
