About
Conceived at the Ealing Club in 1962, The Rolling Stones kicked off their amazing career at the Station Hotel in Richmond, West London.
It was where they secured their first residency, where they met The Beatles for the first time, where they signed for Decca Records and where Andrew Loog-Oldham took over their management and catapulted them to greatness.
On this award-winning tour, we'll take you back to where it all began with stories and supporting early photographs of the locations you'll be visiting. The 3-hour tour starts outside Earl's Court tube station, close to where they were given their name by Brian Jones in 1962 and the location where they first rehearsed and auditioned Bill Wyman.
After a short visit to the Half Moon pub in Putney, where they performed as recently as 2000, you'll be taken to Olympic Studios in Barnes where they recorded their first six albums before a short drive to Richmond to see where they lived, hung-out and and found their audience.
In addition to some early Stones music, you'll hear expert narrative and personal anecdotes from your experienced and passionate tour guide who has lived in Richmond for over 45 years! It's only rock n roll but we think you'll like it!!
