High Tide 2023

About

High Tide is a free community based, music, spoken word and art event music featuring
an eclectic mix of established and local artists, poets and bands, curated by the
proprietors of Church Street's vinyl record shop, Eel Pie Records.
The High Tide event takes inspiration from the Eel Pie Island musical legacy and
complements the more established and community music events such as St Margaret's
Fair and Strawberry Hill Music Day.
The Festival Directors' ambition has always been that with Council, local business and
community support, High Tide could grow into a Twickenham wide Music and Arts
Festival. From its origins in Church Street with 6 stages/performance areas, the vision
was that High Tide could grow in a managed way to involve suitable venues and
spaces across the wider Twickenham area. In 2024 this will be achieved if fundraising
is successful.
For 2024, High Tide we plan to have 15 stages/venues. The music will run from
approximately 12:30pm – 8pm outdoors on purpose-built stages on Arragon Road,
Twickenham Green, Diamond Jubilee Gardens and Church Lane car park. There will
also be performances in the Eel Pie pub, The Cabbage Patch, The George, The Fox, The
Barmy Arms, Heatham House, The Twickenham Club, Orleans House Gallery, and Brewery Market.
