Henry VIII's Joust

About

History’s most thrilling sport returns to its celebrated home of Hampton Court Palace this summer holiday. Be dazzled by a real Tudor joust at the home of Henry VIII – a famous jouster himself. You may even glimpse him participating in the event!

AN EPIC TUDOR JOUST UP CLOSE

You will see up-close the pomp, ceremony and splendour of what it took to be in a joust. Then pick your favourite knight and cheer, jeer and follow all the fun of an epic face-off until one knight reigns supreme.

Alongside the excitement of the joust, spectacular falconry displays will showcase the hunting techniques once popular with Henry VIII and the Tudor Court. Between shows you will also be able to get up close to the birds and learn about these majestic animals.

EXPLORE THE HOME OF HENRY VIII

Your ticket to the joust will also give you access to the breath-taking palace, including the maze, the Great Hall, and the Tudor kitchens where you can try your hand at cooking Tudor style.

After all that exploring, treat yourself to lunch or a cake in the Tiltyard Café, or visit one of the delicious ringside food and drink stalls.

Don’t miss out on an unforgettable day out for all the family. Pre-book your tickets today or become a member to visit time and again for free.
