About

This very special landscape tour covers Strawberry Hill's garden's significance in the development of the more naturalistic landscape garden in England, and its position in the Thames Arcadian landscape. The tour then goes on to Popes Grotto. The Grotto is open for visitors on a limited number of days per year following an extensive programme of restoration and conservation works, which have revealed the original structure of the Grotto, along with evidence of water features referred to by Pope and 18th-century visitors. 10am-12pm on Sunday 8 June.
