A great day out for families and everyone who loves railways and steam!
There will be an opportunity to view HKWR's rolling stock of 1960s diesels as well as over ten model railway layouts on show. There's steam train rides, face painting, a play train and picnic area with hot and cold drinks and ice creams available. As an extra attraction for children, the railway is also running a 7 ¼ gauge steam sit-on train all day. Kempton Steam Museum next door to the railway will also be open with their awesome triple-expansion engine high as four stacked double decker buses working and 'in steam' – a rare opportunity not to be missed!
