About

A slice of Eel Pie Island fully illustrated walking tours overlooking Eel Pie Island. Eel Pie Island and Twickenham's fascinating past and present, told on a stroll along historic Church Street and Twickenham Embankment.

The tours take place every 1st Friday and 2nd Sunday of May thru October departing at 14:30, approx. 60 minutes.

Visiting by Car:

Pay & Display Richmond Council parking directly opposite the Museum in the York House car park (TW1 3AA).

 

Additional council-run car parks can be found within a 3-minute walk of the Museum:

 

Arragon Rd TW1 3NG (behind Waitrose), Church Lane TW1 3NX

 

Coach parking:

Free coach parking available opposite the Museum. Please email The Eel Pie Island Museum for reservation details.

Visiting by Bus:

 

33, 290, 490, H22, R68, R70 - stops are 1-minute walk from Museum (on Richmond Rd/York St)

110, 267, 281 - stops are a 2-minute walk away (on London Rd)

 

Visiting by Train:

Twickenham Station is a 4-minute walk away

 

Visiting by Tube:

Nearest tube is at Richmond (District Line).

Twickenham Station is two stops on the train.

Richmond Station, then take a bus from the bus stop directly outside to Lebanon Court stop which takes you to within sight of the museum (approx. 10 mins journey time): 490, H22, R68, R70 (very regular buses).
