Cyanotype vase and flowers

About

Join us for our latest workshop with wonderful local papercutting expert Dawn Thornhill, who's teamed up with cyanotype artist Camilla Leppard to create a relaxing and creative half day workshop, where you'll explore both the magical process of cyanotype printing and the beautiful art of papercutting.

Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this friendly, hands-on session is perfect for everyone.

You'll learn how to craft intricate paper designs and, with pressed flowers, create a stunning cyanotype print, using light to create rich, blue-toned images.

It's a perfect way to unwind and tap into your creativity, and you'll leave with 2 beautiful, unique artworks that you've made yourself.

No prior experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and enjoy the process!

All materials are included to make two A4 prints, together with use of tools. We'll also provide lots of tea, coffee and home make cake to help your creativity along!

Please note that the class is not suitable for under 18s due to the sharp scalpels used.

Camilla Leppard is a Surrey-based cyanotype artist. A regular exhibitor at Surrey Artists Open Studios, she creates botanical cyanotype prints, inspired by the flowers and plants in her garden.

Dawn is a Surrey-based artist who creates original, one-off papercut-lightboxes. She has been nominated for Surrey Artist of the Year in both 2021 and 2022 and took part in Kirstie's Handmade Christmas in December 2022. She supports several wildlife charities through the sale of her pieces and is passionate about African wildlife conservation.
