Janette Simpson

About

Are you keen to write but don't know where to begin? Then this is the workshop for you!

Writing what you know is the best place to start and using your own experiences will always result in authentic writing. What makes you a unique individual is also what creates your writing voice – be yourself and write your own story.

Experienced local creative writing teacher, Janette Simpson, will lead you through a series of structured writing exercises before giving you space to write your own story. It could be about a childhood memory, about your favourite colour or about the first time you experienced heartbreak as a teenager. The options are limitless; we have all lived life.

This workshop is suitable for writers of all abilities. The only experience required is life experience.

Tea and coffee are included to help creativity!

Janette Simpson is an experienced and popular writing teacher, who has led many creative writing workshops with both adults and children. Participant numbers are kept deliberately low (maximum 8) to ensure that everyone has plenty of opportunities to contribute and to ask questions.

"Janette was really enthusiastic and supportive."

"The class was fun and I enjoyed the various different tasks."

Please note that the class will be held upstairs at The Railway and there is unfortunately no lift access.
