Brioche Mitts

About

In this workshop, continuing on from our Introduction to Brioche class, you will be taught the special brioche increasing and decreasing techniques used to create beautiful directional design motifs in two colour brioche.

You will then practise the techniques by creating a small swatch based on the design motif from the Thistle Cowl pattern designed by Suzanne Strachan. You will also be given the cowl pattern which, if time allows, you can start during the class and continue at your own leisure at home.

Please bring with you 4mm circular needles (60cm or 80cm long) and smooth worsted weight yarn in 2 contrasting colours.

For this class you will need to have either attended our Introduction to Brioche knitting workshop or be comfortable with brioche knit and brioche purl stitches in two colours.

Coffee, tea and lots of home made cake are included.

The workshop is taught by Suzanne Strachan, yarn and knitting expert and talented knitwear designer.

"fantastic course, very well taught, superb refreshments – will certainly be signing up for other courses"

"never concentrated so much on a Saturday morning! Really enjoyable – thank you"

"friendly and fun, as well as instructive"
