Art Themen

About

Art Themen has been a mainstay of the British jazz scene for decades. His playing continues to be inventive, playful and exciting and his anecdotes and introductions humorous and engaging.

As usual he’s booked a trio of outstanding musicians. Drummer Spike Wells was a member of Ronnie Scott’s inner circle, American bassist Tim Wells was educated at the prestigious Berkeley College of music and pianist John Donaldson won the prize for best soloist at the San Sebastián international jazz piano competition. All three or three have worked with a veritable Who’s Who of famous musicians both in Europe and America.
