Richmond upon Thames is certainly making the most of the 2012 Games. We have the Olympic cycling events on our doorstep, the Olympics Torch will be passing through the borough, and St Mary's University is the pre-training camp for the South African, Irish, Chinese and Japanese Olympic teams.

24 and 27 July
- Men's Olympic Cycling Road Race: 28 July (10am-4.15pm)
- Women's Olympic Cycling Road Race: 29 July (12-4.15pm)
- Route Rehearsal for the Time Trial: 31 July (10am-12noon)
- Women's Time Trial: 1 August (12.30-1.45pm)
- Men's Time Trial: 1 August (2.15 - 4.05pm)

Olympic volunteering opportunities in Richmond upon Thames
From the 24 July to 1 August Richmond upon Thames will be host to 2 Olympic torch visits and 4 Olympic cycling events. We are looking for Richmond VIPs (Volunteers in Partnership) to welcome visitors.
